As a result of the OSIRIS project, the article “Synthesis of rigid polyurethane foams incorporating polyols from chemical recycling of post-industrial waste polyurethane foams” has been published in the journal Polymers.
The paper deals with rigid polyurethane foams (RPUFs) made from polyols recovered via catalytic glycolysis of post-industrial waste rigid PU foams (used in housing and support applications). It has been demonstrated with this work that foams formulated with recycled polyols have better properties compared to a reference RPUF.
